I read somewhere a while back that life is long enough to be able to include some absolute disasters. I liked that. I thought that was true.
Disaster, while not absolute, has struck me and mine. My husband has been informed that his plant will shut down in December, and he and 550 other people will simply be out of a job.
So we are in a bit of trauma at the moment. I am starting the process of looking for employment that adds money, since whatever my husband manages to find as his next job will unlikely pay him as much as he makes at the moment.
I am in a strange and difficult position. Whatever credentials I have are ancient and meaningless here in a land foreign to where they were earned. My experiences in thought, organisation, creation are also "worthless" since they were not paid for.
So an adventure begins. I am at sea. Wish me luck. I'll keep you posted.
